Synopsis

BIG DRUMS. BIG DREAMS. In the precise, powerful, and historically male world of Japanese Taiko drumming, Finding Her Beat follows the top women drummers in the world as they come together for two weeks. Egos and cultures clash over limited opportunities. Illness threatens to leave half the company bedridden. Yet all share the dream of shaking the foundations of this ancient performance art, while redefining what it means to be a powerful Asian woman.
