Far from the mythical figures of wild, lazy, indolent and disinterested, the characters who build the dramaturgical fabric of the series are highly linked to technology and active participants in urban everyday life in different ways, while also being intimately linked to their people and its culture. Even being “connected to the network”, filming, writing in Portuguese, singing “rap” or still living in a big city and using state-of-the-art technology, these people have not lost their identity. The authentic indigenous people of this century seek their ancestry or the mythical people who inhabit the villages, know how to preserve the environment, are wise and powerful in their beliefs and, at the same time, relate to what the western world offers in a way to further expand more its culture and knowledge. The series focuses precisely on the indigenous people of today and gives voice to them in all their dimensions. There is nothing more modern in the contemporary world than being indigenous.
