Synopsis

Filmed in just 5 days during the summer of 2015, Five Days on Lesvos captures a dramatic week on the otherwise idyllic Greek island, through the eyes of refugees and volunteers caught in the middle of the greatest humanitarian crisis of our era. From relief as they land on the beaches, to bewilderment as they come to realise their struggles are far from over, the film captures the unfolding experiences of those on the frontline during a moment in history that embodies the entire refugee crisis - and Europe’s collective failure to deal with it.
