Synopsis

A self-made documentary by four young inhabitants of a favela called Vila Cruzeiro.
This is a recently pacified community, but when making the film, it was one of the most violent favelas in Rio de Janeiro ruled by drug dealers.
Cruzeiro is a simply shot but hugely affecting documentary in which four young people show their lives and talk about their dreams.
Cruzeiro was the opening film of the BBC World News series My Country: Brazil.
