Bad Things Happen In Philadelphia is an indepth look at gun violence in the city of Philadelphia. The film focuses on Gary Mills and his organization, Shoot Basketballs Not People, as he guides youth away from violence to the game of basketball. The film follows 3 players who have been with Shoot Basketballs Not People since it’s inception and have now aged out. Through these three young players we see the heartbreaking toll of gun violence on our youth, but also an alternative to crime and mayhem.
