Synopsis: In the summer of 2023, we followed 8 housing-challenged members of The Dwelling congregation as they participated in an innovative creative writing process led by local non-profit Authoring Action -
a program designed to help individuals tell their story. Through the 16 classes, participants face the daily challenges of their housing transitions, confront their past traumas, and wrestle with circumstances still impacting their lives. Their stories reveal their humanity, and, perhaps, our own biases as well.
