Religion Stories is a six-episode web documentary series pairing religious experts with young storytellers in candid conversations about faith, identity, doubt, and belonging—captured and crafted by an international crew of emerging filmmakers.

Format & Structure
Each ~10-minute episode focuses on one major worldview or religious tradition—Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Atheism/Agnosticism. A respected expert introduces the tradition’s core ideas and practices, while a college-aged storyteller shares their lived experience. The format is intentionally simple: honest, human-scale dialogue with minimal narration or academic framing. Cinematic visuals and subtle editing reflect the tone and rhythm of each tradition.

Tone & Aesthetic
Grounded, reflective, and youth-centered. Filmed with a warm documentary style that prioritizes authenticity over polish, the visual language is intimate and observational—rituals, daily life, quiet moments. No animations, no lectures—just people talking, reflecting, questioning, connecting.

Impact Goals
Created as a no-cost pilot within So Fare Films’ Emerging Creators Network, Religion Stories offers both a media learning experience and a tool for interfaith literacy. The project encourages curiosity, listening, and self-reflection—not conversion or consensus.

Current Status
The six-episode series premiered in Lisbon in December 2025. It is now available as a free learning tool on Udemy, and a seventh interreligious “supercut” episode is in production, set to launch on the festival circuit in mid-2026.
