Chilapa Girl

Niña Chilapa is a film that rests between the thin boundaries of documentary and fiction, approaching us through an intimate look at the daily life of a jungle girl who grows on screen to tell us about the complexity of being a woman. She reveals a humanity under construction, imperfect, organic, and changing over time. Through an observational language that approaches us almost like a caress, we build a story that questions us as a society, challenges us as viewers, and invites us to reflect. Yulieth, the protagonist, is a real character, a girl who plays, a teenager who feels, a woman who dreams. She lives in an exuberant natural territory that shelters he,r but at the same time has a different rhythm than the city. The tropics act with the haste of the sun, with the fragility of the perennial, in a cycle of life that does not stop.
