I approach film treatments as a way to establish a documentary's visual language, characters, access and narrative possibilities while leaving room for the story to evolve through observation and discovery. My background in cinéma vérité shapes that process. I look closely at people, places, relationships and the situations likely to produce meaningful moments, then develop a visual approach that supports the story without overdetermining it.

For me, a strong documentary treatment provides a clear creative direction while acknowledging that some of the most important moments cannot be scripted or anticipated. The treatment becomes a framework for gaining access, identifying story threads and developing a consistent visual language while remaining open to what actually unfolds in front of the camera.
