Synopsis

A fairytale turns to hell when a wildfire ravages a forested village. The villagers run for their lives, not knowing if they'll ever regain their livelihood. This experimental documentary has its beginnings in the Camp Fire, the deadliest and most destructive blaze in California history. It destroyed the town of Paradise. The story is told through the eyes of a 6-year-old girl. She and her father spend their days housing families displaced by natural disasters. Paradise is portrayed as a magical land with cottages. The subjects of this film are not only subjects. They are characters: knights, queens, carpenters and more. The documentary follows their process of rebuilding their lives.
