Exploration of life on the other side of the exam table. The emotional roller coaster of one appointment being a kitten checkup and the next being a dog hit by a car and the owners can't afford the immediately-required treatment. The medical-school level of student loans impossible to repay. The verbal abuse by some owners, including rape threats and death threats. The tragically high rate of suicide and burn out. The complicated business models and expectations of care. And the passion for pets that brings people into this these careers.
