Synopsis

Mrs M catches a cold from her third-grade students. Four weeks later, she faces devastating consequences, losing both legs and both arms. The children fear their beloved teacher will never return.
The school won’t allow the children to do a fundraiser, so her third graders go rogue and do it on their own. Mrs M wants to regain her independence, by driving again and returning to teaching. That becomes her journey and the team’s mission.
The day Mrs M returns to her 3rd grade classroom, it’s not to teach. It’s to remove her personal belongings. Without warning, she’s terminated for disability but enables the future with a world first. She creates a new normal in her life, with the help of the students who love her.
DRIVING MRS M is a roller coaster of roadblocks, turning point moments and breakthroughs. The film, and life itself, pose a poignant question: When you go for what you want, will you recognize when you achieve it?
