It is lunch-break the workers are at the canteen and the shopstewards come to address them of their demand which was the recognition of the Metal and Allied workers union. Then the strike starts.The Sarmcol management locked out the workers. The management employ the scab labour to replace them while the strike is carry on. The workers are dismissed. They challenge the dismissal at the labour court which also confirms it as fair.
