Synopsis

A life sentence for murder and the three-decade struggle that follows, all seen through the eyes of a mother fighting to free her son from prison. Barry Beach, who is serving a lifetime for murder, is denied his clemency request. The validity of his guilt has been in question for decades. This denial spurs public advocacy and state legislature led by his 75-year-old mother, Bobbi. Her fight inspires historic criminal justice reform leading to her son’s release from prison.
