Bio

I was born in Istanbul in 1981. Studied at the Northwestern University, then worked at the Film-makers' Cooperative in New York between 2004-2006. My experimental videos screened in Toronto, Edinburgh, Thessaloniki film festivals. I founded Kamara production company in Istanbul in 2011 with director/editor Eytan Ipeker. We produced “Albüm” (co-produced by Arte France, Cedomir Kolar, Danis Tanovic, Calin Peter Netzer) which won the France 4 Visionary Award at Semaine de la Critique (Cannes 2016), Best Feature Film at Sarajevo, Best First Feature at Jerusalem, Special Award at Sevilla’s New Waves. The film is distributed by The Match Factory. Sinan Kesova's short “Outskirts” (2017) won the FIPRESCI Best Short Film Award at Istanbul and competed in Sarajevo and Les Arcs. We are currently producing Eytan Ipeker's first feature documentary, co-produced by Snowglobe in Denmark and Spiro Films in Israel, pre-sold to Danish Broadcasting Corporation and supported by the New Film Fund. I'm also in the post-production of my first narrative medium-length "200", shot in Sarajevo and co-produced by Amra Baksic Camo.
