Brian Walsh Pro

I'm an Assistant Professor of Communication Arts at NYIT in Old Westbury, NY. My work is concentrated in the areas of Web design and video post-production. Along with introductory classes in Digital Imaging, I run classes in Flash, Actionscript, and advanced web design with CSS. In the video realm, I teach an After Effects class in compositing, teach introductory non-linear digital editing on the Avid platform, and recently added a new Digital Studio class that covers advanced editing using Final Cut Studio. My creative work is concentrated in video. I've just completed an edit of a documentary on the town of Kings Park, Long Island. It focuses on the closing of a large-scale mental institution as a result of deinstitutionalization, and the effect it has on the town. I'm beginning research on a series of videos that I hope to show online. I live in Brooklyn, am recently married, and have two dogs.
