Bio
A School of Visual Arts graduate, Dan Lohaus has worked with a number of award-winning documentary filmmakers, including Les and Harrod Blank (Wild Wheels), Nanette Burstein and Brett Morgan (On the Ropes) and Esther Robinson (A Walk into The Sea: Danny Williams and the Warhol Factory). In 2006, Dan directed When I Came Home, a film about homeless Iraq war veterans and won the Best Documentary Award at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. Dan has also founded two organizations that employ homeless individuals and has produced and directed videos for several New York area non-profits. Dan has recently shot for other documentary films in production including: Where Soldiers Come From, The Wild Horses of the Eastern Barrier Islands, and Lynchburg, USA.
