I am a writer, director, and producer for film and television. My documentary film, Shelter in the City, was nominated for a NY Emmy Award 2017. It screened at the Vail and Chagrin Falls film festivals and is available through iTunes, Amazon, and Vudu.
My last film, Refugees: Enemies or Victims? screened at the San Luis Obispo Film Festival in March 2017. This documentary investigates the very important question of whether the United States is doing enough to uphold its long tradition of helping those in need.
I am currently working on Artists in the City, a documentary about visual artists who live and work in New York City.
Through my production company, Blasket McManus Productions, I have written, directed, and produced short fiction and nonfiction films, commercials, and corporate videos.
My novel, A Tincture of Madness, looks at the fine line between genius and madness and is available through Amazon. Theatre plays have been seen in five small theatres in NYC.
Currently, I am senior producer at NET TV, where I have written, directed, and produced more than 70 30-minute television episodes for five different television shows.
