Bio

I am a veteran Public Relations executive. I began my career at the renowned boutique agency Clein, Feldman + White, where our creative campaigns changed the very landscape of publicity and the public image of independent films. We fostered the careers of Spike Lee, Jim Jarmusch, and Gus Van Sant and built branding for such indie forerunners as Fine Line Features, Vestron, Avenue Pictures and Island Pictures.

After 8 years on the agency side I went the distribution route serving as SVP at Miramax Films for 9 years followed by over 4 years as EVP at Rogers + Cowan, heading their film division.

I led publicity campaigns on Academy Award winning films Shakespeare in Love, The English Patient and Cinema Paradiso. I've navigated the controversy of The Passion of the Christ, and crafted approaches that created the cultural zeitgeist for films like Trainspotting and Dirty Dancing and turned the documentary Mad Hot Ballroom into a worldwide box office sensation. In addition to feature films, my personal clients ranged from diverse sides of the entertainment industry including, Academy Award winning writer / director Terry George (Hotel Rwanda, In the Name of the Father), Steven Sater, Tony Award winning creator of the Broadway sensation “Spring Awakening,” and your collegue, IFC Entertainment President Jonathan Sehring, Danny Glover and Joslyn Barnes’ Louverture Films, among others.

Having lived 5 years in Florence, Italy, I have worked with the country’s most iconic directors including Sergio Leone, Giuseppe Tornatore, Lina Vertmuller, Nanni MorettiFranco Zefferelli, Ettore Scola, the Taviani brothers, Alberto Sordi, and Andrea Occhipinti’s Lucky Red.

The breadth of my film projects includes not only fiction films but nonfiction storytellers as well. My documentary campaigns are designed to significantly impact individual attitudes and cultural narratives, garnering increased attention with both the media and box office, while educating, informing, and inspiring audiences, to spark meaningful conversations to drive action and change. I have represented documentaries by such award-winning directors as Mary Mazzio, Michelle Esrick, Marilyn Agrelo, Bill Guttentag and Dan Sturman, Martin Scorsese, Jim Brown and Producers, Chris Hegedus, Wendy Ettinger, Veronique Bernard, to name a few.

Most recently I worked as an outside consultant on Award campaigns for Academy Award winning director Paolo Sorrentino’s The Hand of God, three-time Academy Award winning costume designer, Sandy Powell, and Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman.
