Filmmaker and producer : Srdjan Sarenac
Srdjan is an award-winning film director, screenwriter and producer with 12 years of experience. In 2004 he directed the documentary series How Bosnia Was Made: Top lists of Surrealists, which was the most watched documentary series in Bosnia in 2004. In 2005 he directed the documentary Selma – The Best Ballad Written by Goran Bregovic. Srdjan coproduced the short fiction film I Do Not Dream In German by Ivana Lalovic, which premiered in the Corto Cortissimo section of 65th Venice film festival, Italia. He produced and directed Village Without Women, a feature-length documentary that premiered in official selection at IDFA Amsterdam, as well as 70 film festivals around the world including Tokyo International film festival, Visons du Reel, and AFI. It won 14 awards such as Documenta Madrid, SCAM award of association of French filmmakers, and Ivica Matic award of association of filmmakers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2016 he coproduced feature documentary The Road Movie by Dimitrii Kalashnikov that premiered in the First Appearance section of IDFA 2016
