Bio
Scott E. Schimmel is a O‘ahu based environmental scientist and documentary filmmaker. His award winning work has been broadcast on public television and screened at festivals around the world. His films explore justice, the environment, and the curiosity of the human spirit. In addition to filmmaking, Scott is an Assistant Professor in the School of Communications at the University of Hawai‘i Mānoa and has worked internationally as a consultant on environmental and climate related projects in the Western Pacific and Oceania.
