Rebecca Howland is producer and writer working in both fiction and documentary forms. Maverick characters interest her most and are reflected through her work, which deals with a wide range of subjects from historic nonconformists to grassroots activists intent on changing the world.

She produces the award-winning documentary series Journey to Planet Earth, hosted and narrated by Matt Damon. The latest episode, “Dispatches from the Gulf - 3,” follows a team of scientists as they work to understand the environmental impact of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.
