Bio
Nancy Serna Guerrero was born and raised in Mexico City, where she earned her bachelor's, degree and began her career working in television. She later moved to New York to complete a Master's degree in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, where she deepened her focus on visual storytelling. After apprenticing under established cinematographers and spending several years working as an assistant camera, she transitioned into the role of Director of Photography.
Nancy now specializes in documentary cinematography, drawn to stories rooted in emotional, honesty and human connection. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she is committed to supporting projects that amplify underrepresented voices and foster greater visibility and understanding.
