I'm a documentary filmmaker near Boston. Much to my surprise, after about 5 years of thinking I was done, I'm making a new film called "Why We Dance," about an on-line dance class for mostly-older women that has been my lifeline during the pandemic and continues to be. The film explores who we are in our own bodies at this point in our lives, how we deal with many aspects of our aging, and what we feel when we dance. We filmed it ourselves, and the results are surprisingly joyful. Two years after starting this project, I'm on the home stretch, and need to be raising some $$ to finish it and get it out into the world.
