Lauren Cross is a film-maker and the director/producer of upcoming documentary The Skin Quilt Project, a documentary which discusses how the African American quilting tradition has provided African American quilters with self-confidence and self-esteem to fight the politics of skin color in the African American community and the ability to embrace the "skin they're in."
