Laura Seltzer-Duny, Documentary Filmmaker & Impact Producer

Laura Seltzer-Duny has been Producing and Directing award-winning social issues and historical documentaries for over 20 years. She has a special interest in stories about migration, the plight of refugees, and their efforts to resettle including her EMMY-nominated PBS film, NOBODY WANTS US about Holocaust refugees and, LAS ABOGADAS about lawyers on the front lines of the migrant crisis today. Laura is in the Pre-Production phase of a documentary about enslaved families that sought refuge in Hampton, VA.

For all of her films Seltzer Film & Video creates a robust social impact strategy that includes strategic engagement with and screening for non-profits and educational institutions. She also works with subject matter experts and educators to create school curriculum materials. She's currently working with filmmakers to help create similarly customized strategies for their environmental, social justice, and historical documentaries. Laura works primarily in the Washington DC metro area and travels around the globe for causes she believes in.
