In my 25 plus years of being an independent photographer I have authored 3 books, photographed for national and international publications such as Life, Time and Geo and my photography is in numerous private and museums collections. I am a National Endowment for the Arts award, a Bush Foundation Fellow and McKnight Foundation Fellow (3). I work in a reportage manner photographing of long term-projects on communities such as kids coping with life-threatening illness, my grandparents life-long love, Tibetan resettlement in the American heartland, a gay mens community of Faeries, Mary Jo Copeland’ss work with the poor and homeless. Between 2005 and now I have made a few shorts, but now I am creating my first one hour documentary -- Ice Show World (working title), the first documentary to tell the 100 year history of the great American touring ice shows.
