Jai Tiggett

JAI TIGGETT [“JAY TY-get”] is a writer and producer whose work spans film, television, and new media.  She is the producer of Little Brother, a 10-year educational docu-series distributed by Third World Newsreel. She has written and created content for Lionsgate, Codeblack Films, Al Jazeera Plus, Issa Rae Productions, Doc Channel, Revolt TV and others. Her work has screened internationally and has been honored by the Open Society Foundations, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, and several film festivals.

Tiggett is a graduate of the Florida State University Film School and the Professional Program in Screenwriting at UCLA, and she was a Screenwriting Fellow in the Guy Hanks & Marvin Miller Fellowship Program at USC. She is a member of the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW), New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT), the Black Documentary Collective, the D-Word, and Film Independent.
