Bio

Jon Ong is a rising young Film Composer based in Los Angeles, California.

Having contributed music to numerous top notch films and productions ranging from the Netflix series 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' (2017-2018), box office smash 'Paddington' (2014) and the Tina Fey feature 'Whiskey Tango Foxtrot' (2016), he has established himself as a solid contributor to high caliber projects.

He has also handled full compositional duties for 'Sudsy Slim Rides Again' (2018), Nickleodeon's Digital Series 'Chase Champion' (2015) and McDonald's National Ad Campaign 'The Hamburglar', among many others, Ong is on a steady rise to becoming a composer to watch out for.

Originally from Singapore, Ong started out as a guitarist and later fell in love with Film Scoring while studying at the world renowned Berklee College of Music. He credits the original Star Wars trilogy and Jurassic Park as his inspirations for pursuing Film Scoring.

Having risen through the ranks of the Film Scoring world in Los Angeles, he has worked with such renowned composers as Nick Urata and William Ross, Stephen Edwards and mix engineer Al Clay.
