Audio-post specialist, location sound mixer & composer fascinated with how sound moves us. Listening with openness and intent is my way of life.

Along with my practice as a sound artist (www.johndombroski.net), I've been collaborating since 2010 in various film/video departments and production contexts: documentary, narrative, advertising, corporate, industrial, indie, performing arts, radio, TV and feature film productions.

I'm currently based in Portland, Oregon with an acoustically-treated 5.1 surround sound mixing studio running on Avid ProTools, Izotope RX, Logic Pro X and a suite of professional microphones, recording gear, audio DSP, analog modular synthesizers, wireless, and location audio equipment — ready for any creative sound design, mixing, or on-location audio production. I always work with open ears, an open mind, and a smile.

I especially enjoy working on projects with a focus on making underrepresented voices heard, amplifying the stories of women, BIPOC, and our LGBTQI community, making invisible histories legible, and making important ideas known through novel sonic storytelling with sound that truly moves.
