After a career in journalism I turned to documentary film making as a way to enhance my storytelling. I specialize in historical documentaries that rely on extensive archival research. My film Tainted Blood: The Untold Story of the 1984 Olympic Blood Doping Scandal (Amazon) explores one of the most egregious yet little remembers doping episodes in sports history. Similarly, Uphill Climb: The Women Who Conquered the Impossible Race (Peacock/Warner Brothers Discovery) celebrates the courageous women who rode in the Tour de France Féminin in the 1980s. Nearly forgotten, these "hidden figures" of sports were pioneers for equality. Currently working on a project about abuses at a now shuttered private psychiatric hospital in New York.
