J. Faye Yuan Pro

Born in Shanghai and raised in Muncie, IN, J. Faye Yuan is a New-York based bilingual writer, producer, and editor. With support from Tribeca Creators Market, Doha Film Institute, and Women Make Movies, Faye made her first feature-length documentary about a maverick Chinese animal activist - premiering in 2021. In 2019, she made her directorial debut on a hybrid documentary, which received funding from the New York State Council on the Arts Film & Media Award. Her next docuseries about economic development in rural China will air on National Geographic’s Asia, Europe, and Middle East channels in Winter 2021.
