He is an award-winning independent documentary filmmaker (Sports for Sale, First Things First, One Plus One, net.LEARNING; and television journalist (Founding Producer, The MacNeil/Lehrer Report; Executive Producer, Listening to America with Bill Moyers; Producer, CBS Sunday Morning & Sixty Minutes. He has taught documentary at NYU, Dartmouth and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where he has also taught video profiles and newsmagazine production.
