Mehran Haghighi Pro
Mehran Haghighi began his career in 1991 by co-founding Behnegar, a production and distribution company in Iran. While in Behnegar, he produced several fiction, documentary, and short films, some of which were co-produced with filmmakers from France, Japan, Tunisia, and Germany. Five of the 13 films he has worked on have been recognized with industry awards.
Mehran was the co-producer of the feature film Djomeh (Iran, France 2000) and a recipient of the Camera d’Or in Cannes 2000. Other co-produced international productions include Bab’Aziz: The Prince Who Contemplated His Soul (Iran, France, Tunisia, Germany, and England 2005), recipient of the Best Feature Film at the Golden Minbar Film Festival.
In 2016, Mehran established the production company Homa Films, which focuses on producing films that showcase the fascinating Iranian heritage, history, art, and culture.
