Anton Yavorsky

Public bio

Anton’s first passion was the written word, but on receiving a camcorder at the age of 13, he realised he could bring his stories to life through filmmaking. After graduating with a BA in English from Cambridge University, he has spent eight years as a screenwriter, director and editor on both commercial projects and a series of fiction and documentary shorts. In the last few years, Anton has turned his main focus to documentary, collaborating on several short projects for broadcast by TF1, and a film set in war torn Ukraine. He is currently working on a project in post-production about an Afghan boxer who came to the UK as a refugee. Anton speaks Russian and English fluently. He is particularly interested in the way an individual’s integrity relates to society, as well as looking at social issues through an unflinching but lyrical lens.
