Bio

Angela is a Dominican-American filmmaker and educator. Life in Synchro, about the little known sport of synchronized skating, is her first feature film and has screened at festivals across the country. She is the co-producer/co-writer for Riding Wild, a Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund film, about a BMX-lifer who dreams big and builds an illegal bike park on a patch of forgotten woods in Baltimore City. Currently, she is working with the Investigative Reporting Workshop as an associate producer on the documentary Moments of Truth. She also works as a freelance producer, cinematographer and editor, and has taught video production and media classes at Kutztown University and American University. Angela earned her MFA in Film and Electronic Media from American University and a B.A. in English from the University of Florida. Before diving into film, she worked in education in her hometown of Miami.
