Public bio

I am an independent documentary producer with the majority of my work contracted through public media, specifically Twin Cities PBS in Saint Paul, MN. My first full-length documentary at TPT was nominated for an Emmy and shared stories of gratitude through food, music and cultural celebrations of new American communities called "Giving Thanks in Many Voices". Some of my recent projects include:

  • Citizen Lane, a road-trip web series for public media exploring policy issues across Minnesota
  • The Unbowed, a series exploring racialize trauma and healing through music and art
  • Muslim Sheroes of Minnesota, a series of short videos profiling Muslim female leaders in Minnesota, broadcast on the local PBS station, and currently making the rounds at short film festivals. 

I've assisted on documentary films as a producer, production manager, videographer, editor researcher, impact producer, educator and transcriber Companies that I've freelanced for include: Dinky Productions, Frozen Feet Films, Emergent Pictures, New Day Films, ZAG Line Productions, Hard Working Movies, Copacetic Pictures, Line Break Media, Northern Monday Films, Transform Films and Stranger Than Fiction.
