 I believe that through this medium, human societies and cultures can be explored. This exploration can be made tangible through the documentary form. I want to examine the ways in which memory, cultural or collective, can be manifested throughout society. I also wish to use film to inspire social change to the audience. Alongside my passion for film is my interest in archival preservation. I feel strongly that human societies need to preserve the past through the most applicable mediums available. These mediums will change overtime, and become more diverse, but the need for preservation will always be pertinent. My goal is to unite these two passions, the documentary film and the archival process, so that I can understand how societies form and function.
