Bio

In 2006, Timothy was a participant at the 4th Berlinale Talent Campus in Berlin and the Real Life Film Festival workshop in Accra. Since graduating from Film School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and TV Production, he has worked mainly in making documentary films such as First Earth (2008) by David Sheen (Canada/USA) and Roots Germania (2007) by Mo Asumang (Germany). His student short films include Forgive Me, Yrene (2007) and Like The Sun (2006).


Timothy also participated in the 2011 IDFAcademy Summer School in Amsterdam where he developed the script for his debut documentary feature film project, ‘Senior James and the Children of the White Volta’ with Funding from the IDFA Bertha Fund, Goteborg Film Fund, PUMA.Creative Catalyst Award by Channel4 BritDoc Foundation, Hot Docs Blue-Ice Fund and a Co-Production with Aljazeera International.


‘Harmattan Pawpaw’, his latest short film, won 5th Prize at the 2nd Accra Francophone Film Festival, Ghana and has been selected to attend the 7th edition of Talents Durban, South Africa.
