Sheri Shuster

Sheri Shuster is an Iranian-American human rights documentary filmmaker, born in Jerusalem and raised in Los Angeles. She has been a communications director in the public and nonprofit sector for over fifteen years and has a passion for developing media campaigns that inspire people to action. From 2008-2012, Sheri served as the Associate Director of Covenant House California in Oakland, part of the largest nonprofit agency in the Americas to serve homeless and trafficked youth. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for United Roots and the Advisory Board for Global Girl Media. Sheri is an alumnus of UCLA and the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. Still I Rise is her directorial debut.
