I'm a Boston area composer writing for visual media as well as dance and live performance.
Recently films I've scored include the documentary, The Rabbi Goes West, about a Chabad rabbi that moves from Crown Heights, Brooklyn to Boseman, MT, and "Weather and Chaos: The Work of Edward N. Lorenz," about Edward N. Lorenz and his role in developing chaos theory. I built a generative music engine based on chaos math for parts of the score. I've also contributed music and/or orchestrations to over fifteen PBS productions, including Edgar Allan Poe: Buried Alive, Henry Ford and several episodes of American Experience. Features I've scored include the documentary Touchdown Israel!, about the Israeli American-rules football league, which played at 20+ film festivals including the Sarasota Film Festival and San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, and The Way Home: Tibet in Exile, about three generations of women in a Tibetan family confronting the changes and future of their culture from when the Dalai Lama first left Tibet.
I've been a regular collaborator with the Urbanity Dance company (Best of Boston, 2015), creating music for performances pieces, participating in 'test kitchen' classes and speaking to students in their choreography workshop.
I've also created music and/or sound design for video game companies Earplay, Inc. and Lantana Games, and composed music for commercials for Nationwide Insurance and the Independent Film Festival of Boston.
Since 2008 I've has worked as an assistant to award-winning composer John Kusiak. I'm a graduate in film scoring and jazz piano from Berklee College of Music and have studied classical composition at Longy School of Music. I also have a BS in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
