Bio

I am a producer, writer, editor and now, Virtual Reality storyteller with experience in non-fiction, educational, promotional and corporate production. My work has garnered three Emmy Awards and recognition at film festivals and competitions worldwide. In 2013, I published the first of three novels in my “Alexander Adventures” YA series.

In addition to an Emmy Award for Children / Youth programming, I’ve earned several screenwriting awards in that same genre, including two “Best Feature Screenplay” awards at the International Family Film Festival, and an endorsement from the Coalition for Quality Children’s Media. I’ve taught filmmaking workshops everywhere from juvenile detention centers in California to New Delhi, India I’ve been involved in distance learning, podcasts, webinars and an on-demand teen-hosted television series showing kids how to make movies using kid-friendly technology and time-tested techniques.

Feature-length titles include "Bollywood Steps," a film I directed and edited about Indian-American boys learning about their heritage through Bollywood dance; editor and co-producer of  "Biography Battles and Bernard," a two hour doc about Los Angeles icon Bernard Parks; and Editor and Co-Producer of "Prescription: Suicide," exploring the abuse of anti-depressant drugs on teenagers.

I’ve taught media in a wide range of environments, including schools, juvenile detention centers, mentoring workshops, film festivals and in locations from Los Angeles to New Delhi, India. I’ve been involved in distance learning, podcasts, webinars and an on-demand teen-hosted television series showing kids how to make movies using kid-friendly technology and time-tested techniques.
