Laurence Stajic Pro

Laurence Stajic is a Swiss director-cinematographer who lives in Los Angeles, California. In 2001 she graduated from the prestigious ECAL – School of the Arts of Lausanne – with HEIDI ISLAND a documentary shot in Tokyo that was strongly noticed on the international festival circuit and won an award at the Tokyo Video Festival (2002). Her latest film tackles the subject of natural birth in Switzerland and reflects upon the trend of hyper-medicalization of childbirth in the first world countries. Her films are rooted in the desire to inspire people and compel social change. Her latest doc GUARDIANS OF THE EARTH: THE NEW GENERATION is currently in development.
