Bio

Richard Gorodecky is an filmmaker, writer and creative director. 

As a director/filmmaker his recent documentary The River Man won Best Documentary at Lift-Off Film Festival Amsterdam, Best Short Documentary at Carmarthen Bay Film Festival, was shortlisted for the Grand Prix and Best Documentary at Cork Film Festival, and was a Finalist for Best Short at Big Sky Film Festival and Kinsale. It was broadcast on RTE2 and was given Critics Choice in The Sunday Times. It has been in the Official Selection of thirteen film festivals around the world. His new film - Little Shit, is currently in production. Richard was short-listed in 2015 for Best International New Director at Kinsale. 

As a writer and creative director he honed his skills for eight years at Wieden & Kennedy, Amsterdam, then founded and ran the branded content agency Amsterdam Worldwide for another eight. He has won over sixty industry awards including a Cannes Gold Lion, the Grand Prix at Eurobest, and a Silver Effie. He has been featured in a number of books and publications and a selection of his work is in the permanent collection at Museum for Art and Craft in Hamburg.
