Eric Daniel Metzgar is a Brooklyn, New York-based filmmaker. He owns and operates Merigold Moving Pictures. In 2005, he completed his first documentary feature-length film, "The Chances of the World Changing", which he directed, produced, shot and edited. For his direction of the film, Eric was nominated for a 2007 Independent Spirit Award. The film was broadcast as part of PBSâ€™s POV series in 2007. It has screened in numerous festivals around the world and has won several awards. Ericâ€™s latest documentary, "Life. Support. Music.", will travel the film festival circuit in 2008. His third film, Reporter, following Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof through Congo and Rwanda, has just begun post-production. Eric is also an award-winning cinematographer and has shot for several Oscar-nominated directors.
