Bio
Diego Sarmiento (Peru, 1984) directed the documentaries "SONIA'S DREAM", premiered at the Berlinale Culinary Cinema 2015 and “EARTH´S CHILDREN” (Berlinale Generation 2014).
Diego produced the short films “KAY PACHA” (Clermont-Ferrand, Raindance, Seattle, Cannes Short Film Corner) and “RANCAS, FROM A LONG TIME AGO” (Best Documentary – Lima Film Festival 2013).
In 2010 he co-founded HDPERU, a production company engaged in the production of films defending Human Rights and Environmental issues. He studied Film and TV Production at the PUCP University of Peru and Executive Production in Colombia. Diego is a Berlinale Talents alumni.
