Bio
Dan Manatt is a documentary director/producer/writer whose credits include The Republic of Baseball: The Dominican Giants of the American Game, featured at the New York/HBO Latino Film Festival, the Santo Domingo/FunGloDe Film Festival, and the Baseball Hall of Fame Film Festivals. It was broadcast nationally on PBS via Latino Public Broadcasting in 2006. In 2014 Manatt's Whiskey Cookers: The Amazing Story of the Templeton, Iowa Bootleggers, won Best Documentary Awards at the Iowa Independent Film and Wild Rose Film Festivals. At Wild Rose, Manatt also took honors for Best Editor and Special Achievement Award for Documentary Direction and Documentary Soundtrack. He is currently developing The United States of Food: How Food & Farming Made America. It is schedule for broadcast on Iowa Public Television in 2015/2016.
