Greetings! I am a budding documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, by way of Oakland, California. I have a lifelong passion for the arts with a background in both playwriting and screenwriting. After graduating with a BA in Theatre from the University of California, Riverside, I took a hiatus from the arts to teach high school special education in Brooklyn, NY and complete my MS Ed. Witnessing first-hand the pervasive race and class inequality in the education system inspired me to shift careers in an effort to shed light on the issues that plague underprivileged communities. I have loved documentaries since I was a child, so it was a no-brainer to combine my love for documentary film and social justice work. I attended the New York Film Academy's One-Year documentary intensive program. Since then, I have screened at the DOC NYC festival, and worked on projects at Warrior Poets Production company.
