I'm a documentary producer/director based in New Orleans. I'm also
the Vice-President for Programming for the New Orleans Film Festival.
This year, we have introduced a special category for documentary
submissions in our competitive division. We will select several to
screen at the festival and we'll award a jury prize for best
documentary. I really want to increase our documentary presence. So,

final deadline is July 1, 2002. Our fest runs October 10-17, 2002 and
we treat filmmakers very well!

Hello. Im a finnish documentary filmmaker based in amsterdam and who
recently took the leap from print journalism into films. Currently
working on a portrait of an 'insane' and completely isolated juggler -
an urban hermit here in Amsterdam who has just finished coding his own
operative system for pc.
Also researching for a piece about an artist who is building - together
with Technical University of Delft - a mobile art center to be shipped
around the globe from the deserts of Egypt to Greenland to Surinam.

Hi,
I'm a documentary director/producer living in Israel, and I run
Highlight Films, that produces documentaries for the European &
American markets and documentary series for National Geographic.
These days we produce two one-hour long doumentaries about last year
of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, filmed from both sides of the
conflict.

Hi. I'm a professor of film and video at american univesity in
washington DC. I produce and edit docs as well as short narrative
films and a bunch of stuff for nonprofits. A lot of my doc work has
been in eastern europe, mainly the czech republic. I just finished a
four part series for pbs video on learning disabilities. I teach
producing, directing and scriptwriting for our undergrad and graduate
students. I found your site through a mention on the mediarights site.

Hi, I'm a student of Visual Anthropology at CSU-Fullerton. My aim is
to bring anthropological theory to documentary films. Two other
students and myself have founded a little production company to do
subject-centered docs. We have only finished one and would
appreciate advice on just about anything from anyone. How's that for
open to suggestions?

contemperory music in the republic of maldives..... i am currently
doing my research thats how i got here. looks like a great
