One request for the d-word redesign: When I copy and paste some text from d-word into a word doc, I don't just get the text- I get a background color that makes it very hard to read. If there's any way to make it so that copy and paste only copies the text, that would be great.

Difficulties with The D-Word? If you can't find the right answers on our Help page, please post in this topic. Ideas for future D-Word releases or projects can be posted here as well.
Have you tried Paste Special in Word (from the drop down)? I find that is usually a workaround when pasting weirdly formatted text.
In reply to Christopher Pavsek's post on Tue 23 Sep 2014 :
Peter Gerard reports he fixed the bug. I double-posted in Bar since Pavsek wasn't able to access this topic.
I posted in Shameless Self-Promotion a couple of days ago and now I don't see my post at all – did I fail to actually post it or was it deleted for some reason?
I'm a little confused about what the blue tallies next to each topic represent.
I was hoping it would be a tally of unread posts for that topic. On some topics, this appears to be the case, and when I return to the main page after viewing the unread posts in the topic, the blue number disappears.
What's confusing is that other topics seem to not register which posts I've read. If a topic has a number of "39" next to it, for example, and I read all the new postings and return to the main page, I find that the number hasn't changed.
What if you refesh the page? Does it still remain?
You're right, though. It is number of unread posts.
Yeah, even if I refresh or access using a different browser, the count keeps showing that there are unread posts, even though all the individual posts within the topic thread have gone from white to grey.
It's strange because on certain topics, the unread post counts do seem to be responsive right away.
It's fine, I can manage; I was just getting confused about what those numbers are supposed to show...
I'm extremely dyslexic and found the preview option very useful... will it return
can i say that i really hate clicking on a link and it replacing the d-word tab? i want a link to create a new window. i understand that some people may not like that, but i'm not one of them.
Agree with you Kurt. Currently there is an option if adding links to make it open in a new window.
When you click the link button above, add the link, then select Target and "New Window" and voila, it will show up in a new window rather than taking over this one.
And folks we have heard you loud and clear on the Preview Option. At this point, with the new D-Word platform in the final stages of development, we want to focus our time and efforts on that rather than more fixes to the current, soon-to-be obsolete platform. Your patience and understanding will soon be rewarded.
It's still there. It's just called Page Break (it's the icon to the right of the paperclip attachment icon).
Oh - so the hidden function is actually hidden! (or disguised) How approporiate. But how will newcomers - or those who haven't been paying close attention to all the changes - know this?
In reply to Kurt Engfehr's post on Mon 8 Dec 2014:
Kurt, in the new design links will open in a new window by default.
But Niam - I WAS paying attention this time - and I still can't get it to work! When I click on the page break, a narrow box appear but I'm not able to put anything inside it.
Dang! How would anyone know that? Hardly user friendly or intuitive. Just hope D Word never has a competitor! Can't we have the OLD hidden function button back?
In reply to Daniel McGuire's post on Sat 4 May 2013: Looking for DSLR info. I guess I am behind the curve but just bought a Canon Reberl Ti5 DSLR. Cam seesm to have an odd quirk--after recording :30 to 1:00 of video, it shuts off. Tried two cams same thing. I read that it might be related to the SD cards and that DSLRs are kind of finicky vis a vis cards. Any thoughts?
Marilyn, this topic is for questions related to The D-Word platform. Your question belongs in Cinematography.
